Interact’s UX Digest is our monthly(ish) digest of UX links, notes and other cool resources and events that attracted our attention out in the blogosphere and interwebs. We also tweet daily on hot UX topics. Follow us on twitter or friend us on facebook,
This time in the UX Digest…
trends…
We started a new tradition to look at UX trends especially in the seattle area sponsored by a local futurist Ryan Lane
* still lots of hype about kinect and building jesture based non touch User Experiences (UX) but much of it seems to be just hype, however there is a growing about of real stuff happening with working kinect drivers and rumors of a Kinect SDK from Microsoft… more to come we think.
* all the hype around HTML 5 seems to have put the damper a bit on flash and silverlight in the seattle market but we don’t think this is a bad thing. Being able to do the basics in standard way of delivering content is what HTML has always been about and with HTML 5 we don’t need RIA plugins to pick up the slack but we still use them for what they were designed to do meaning to take UX to the next level in the browser.
