This month Robby Ingebretsen (his blog: http://blog.nerdplusart.com/ ) from Pixel Lab is doing a private/casual open disussion version of his MIX 10 presentation titled ‘10 Ways to Attack a Design Problem And Come Out Winning’. See the design process in action as we walk through the creation of two (or three) apps from beginning to end. We’ll start with design requirements and talk about finding inspiration. We’ll show you how we created and documented the design through comps and wireframes. Finally, we’ll even take a look at unique coding techniques that allowed us to realize the vision. If you’re interested in the design process and want to see it in action, don’t miss this presentation! (you can check out the video from mix at http://live.visitmix.com/MIX10/Sessions/EX06 )
Come join the fun with Interact IxDA.

Just wanted everyone to know that my intention is to make this much more casual than the talk at MIX (which, arguably, was already pretty casual) so this should be fun even if you’ve seen the talk. In particular, I’d like to hear about other people’s approaches to “attacking” design problems. Be there or be square.
I’ll change the desc a bit around that. Looking forward to the presentation.
Hey Robby,
Thanks again I really enjoyed engaging with you (and the rest of the group) last night. Got me sketching again.
I had a follow up question/idea that I’m bummed I didn’t bring up last night. All of your attach moves assume that the ‘Design Problem’ has been identified. How about a prequel talk focusing on attack moves to help identify the ‘Design Problem’. I know that identifying and defining the design problem often times is a much harder step in the process.
Again, Thank you and I hope you continue to inspire others.
Doh, won’t let me post LINKS in a comment so I can’t post my fav inspiration sites.
hmm… maybe its time to make you an admin?
I’ll change the desc a bit around that. Looking forward to the presentation.
