Interact’s running recommended Reading list for designers AND developers:

a high level book that to us really lays out the ground work for why UX is so important and what is the best about this book is that it is targeted towards normal people and you don’t need to be a designer or developer to really make use of this book.

For those interested in reading the Bill Buxton book, I have a copy that I am willing to lend out (as long as it is returned).
